Editing tiers
You've got a finished edit in Descript/Premiere/Pro Tools, and want a pro to clean the cuts and master your sound.
You provide a word-for-word script, and I follow it exactly.
I find the narrative flow and sequencing from your raw tape.
À la carte & additionals
Up to 2 speakers and 60 minutes. Noise reduction, EQ, compression, loudness normalization. Details below.
Billed in 15-min increments. Spot repair, salvage, SFX/music integration. Max fee agreed upfront.

For: Creators with a finished edit who need a professional to fix bumpy transitions and master their sound.
Includes: Smoothing out ‘Frankenstein’ cuts, fades and crossfades, and the Broadcast Polish detailed below

Includes: Following your script exactly to create a fine assembly + Broadcast Polish detailed below.
Assembly from up to four dialogue sources; Projects involving extensive archival clips, multiple interview subjects, or field recordings will be quoted including additional Specialized Audio Engineering time as detailed below.
Removing filler words
Cloud-based "Live Script" access for your team to leave time-stamped feedback, plus two dedicated rounds of narrative/structural adjustments. Additional notes billed hourly.
Video Integration available: For clients requiring a picture rough cut and seamless Premiere Pro integration. Includes multicam syncing, Descript project management, and a metadata-locked round-trip of your mastered audio mix to Premiere for downstream editing, titling, vfx, color correction, etc.

The Broadcast Polish is a Simple but intentional Pass
Where podcast platforms’ “magic one-touch” buttons are convenient but unreliable, I offer a human-in-the-loop with experienced ears and pro software to replace burbly, ear-fatiguing automated fixes with a cleanup that tames offensive audio artifacts while sounding honest, allowing your listener to stay focused on your message.
(Up to 2 speakers; +$25 per additional speaker or source).
Includes: A careful, uniform pass of high-quality noise reduction (for steady hiss, hums, and buzzes) and taming of room resonance (reverb), plus individualized-per-source EQ balance, compression and sibilance control, plus loudness normalization to client specs.
This pass is remedial rather than restorative, focusing on general clarity and mitigating prominent interference over total noise elimination and achieving “That Radio Sound”.
Momentary, periodic noise reduction (for bumps, beeps, doors, barks) and moment-to-moment mixing is available (“Specialized Audio Engineering” below).

Advanced restoration and asset integration. For heavy or spot audio repair, surgical dialogue editing, moment-to-moment mixing or complex multi-segment production. Billed hourly beginning at $100/hr.
Removing momentary/periodic noisy distractions: Bumps, thumps, honks, beeping, barking, ringing…
Salvaging distorted, clipped, or otherwise severely-damaged guest recordings
Creative integration of client-supplied SFX or music, loop editing, or atmospheric timing
We have SFX, licensed and ready to apply to your production if you need
If your project dips into this territory, I will notify you after our intake of your material. We will negotiate an additional fee based on the estimated time required so you remain in full control of your production budget.

I use Descript for preliminary editing work: Sectioning, re-ordering, filler word removal.
Fine Editing and Mixing
Pro Tools Ultimate is my platform of choice for…everything, really.
Cleanup and Restoration
I use tools from Izotope, Accentize, Steinberg, Acon Digital, Waves, and others.
Video
Often, picture has to lead the edit, even if your marquee product is audio.
I provide basic video assembly. I manage multicamera syncing in Premiere Pro and 'content-first' narrative picture cuts in Descript that are delivery-ready for downstream fine editing, titling, graphics, color, etc by your team - performing round-trips without breaking your sync or metadata.
